Who We Are

Cooperative Extension is the arm of North Carolina State University and A&T State University that facilitates application of research and knowledge from the university to local community needs and problems.

Every county in North Carolina has an office with Extension agents who develop educational programs on agriculture, family and consumer science, youth, and environment-related issues.

What We Do

The North Carolina Cooperative Extension offers numerous educational programs in the areas of Agriculture, Family and Consumer Education, 4-H and Youth Development, and Community and Rural Development.

The programs are designed to benefit farmers, rural and urban residents, families, youth, and community and civic leaders.

Workshops, special interest classes and seminars are offered each month. One-on-one help is available by appointment.

Newsletters, bulletins, and leaflets are also available.
