Who We Are
HomeGrown NC is a safe place for discovery legacy.
Vision: To revitalize rural communities through enrichment programs and long-term mentorship focused on youth, retirees, and vulnerable individuals of African descent. HomeGrown NC is focused on promoting healthy, progressive growth across generations. HomeGrown NC will serve as a learning center for Agriculture and local African American history as well as S.T.E.M, entrepreneurship, and economics that will cultivate safe space and legacy building.
Mission: HomeGrown NC is a community garden cultivated to decrease resource scarcity and increase healthy options and African American cultural awareness within the local eastern NC community.
What We Do
We promote healthy, progressive growth across generations. Through agricultural education we make people proud of their hometown and history.
We host family friendly programs focused on:
1. Agriculture
2. Local African American history
