TO PROVIDE A CIVILIAN FRAMEWORK THROUGH WHICH TRAINED EMERGENCY AND MILITARY PERSONNEL EXTEND THEIR SERVICE TO SOCIETY; TO ASSIST OUR NEIGHBORS IN TIMES OF DISASTER AND OUR OWN IN TIMES OF HARDSHIP; TO RESPOND INDEPENDENTLY, EFFICIENTLY AND STRATEGICALLY, ACHIEVING THE GREATEST IMPACT POSSIBLE.

Company Overview

Sheep Dog IA is simply a desire to help people who need it, when they need it. Sheep Dog was founded by a military professional, and somewhat in the spirit of a Marine Corps Quick Reaction Force – a small, flexible and reactive relief force focused on responding to need in a timely and effective manner. We have three primary missions:

1) to provide assistance to military, law enforcement, fire & rescue, and other emergency personnel and their families in times of need,
2) to provide assistance to our communities during natural or human-inflicted disasters, and
3) to educate the community on the importance of disaster preparedness and survival.

Our website is used as a means for collecting and sharing information on people in need and for providing useful tips on survival and disaster preparedness.

Not everyone is a Sheep Dog, and most people have no desire to become one. But, if you are or strive to be the type of person willing to help others when they need it most, then we hope Sheep Dog IA provides you with the information and tools needed to become and or improve as a Sheep Dog in your community.

We are a 501(c)(3) approved non-profit organization.

 

Our membership is primarily made up of military and emergency services personnel, however, anyone can be a volunteer.
