Winter fun for the entire family! 100 % chance of snow on January 30 in Municipal Park. Join Swansboro Parks and Recreation for our 3rd Annual Snow Up the Park, presented by Stevenson Chevrolet. Municipal Park will turn into a winter wonderland with slopes for sledding and a play area filled with tons of snow. New this year…participants will get to take home a souvenir photo, and will able to download and share all the fun they are having on their Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages. There will be a free toddler play area. Snow-covered ramps will be set up for sledding and the cost is $5 per person for unlimited sledding.
Free children’s activities are planned throughout the evening. Fun winter games and activities for the kids will be held outside with the snow sledding. If it gets too cold, head inside the Recreation Center to warm your insides with hot chocolate. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be available for purchase in the Multipurpose Room. In the classroom you will find winter themed arts and crafts for participants. All games and arts and crafts are free and open to everyone.
