General Summary: This position is responsible for assisting in all clerical duties of the ReStore.

 

Responsibilities

Display excellent customer service skills to donors, shoppers and volunteers both in person and on the telephone Prepare document packets to be sent over to the Affiliate Office Organizing & filing office materials & documents Operating fax machine to transmit documents and processing incoming fax transmittals Ordering supplies for the ReStore through the Affiliate Office Supply List Scheduling donation appointments with call in/walk in donors Assisting in answering phones, & taking messages Create/Post informative information for customers, donors or volunteers Maintain order of the front office area Use Microsoft Word & Excel to create or maintain information Assist other volunteers and staff as needed

Qualifications

Must be people-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to advocate the mission of Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity Must possess the ability to: Plan, organize and handle multiple functions simultaneously & communicate clearly and courteously, both verbally and in writing Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required Must possess the ability to operate Microsoft Word and Excel

Schedule

6 month – 1 year commitment

Daily Details

Minimum 2 days per week for 2 hours

General Summary: To help the ReStore with overall store maintenance (repair, painting, wood work, electrical, building displays, enhancing store facility etc.), small and large projects, and answer home improvement questions from customers, assist with the ReStore Donation Truck.

Responsibilities

Greet Incoming customers in a cheerful, professional manner; answer questions, and provide assistance as needed Ability to coordinate with Primary and Secondary Supervisor for approval on maintenance and projects as some projects may need higher approval from Executive Management Perform general maintenance tasks, repairs etc. as needed for store operation Maintain a clean and orderly work area May be asked to help test items for power and/or operation Load and unload vehicles receiving or delivering materials to/from the ReStore When requested, assist the driver when picking up materials at donor sites

Qualifications

General Summary: The primary responsibility of the warehouse floor position is to maintain proper display of inventory on the sales floor, ensure the safety and “shopability” of the main sales and assist with customer and donors with loading/unloading merchandise.

 

Responsibilities:

Inspect donations carefully and enforce donation requirements tactfully. Clean incoming materials, following established cleaning procedures and criteria Price incoming materials under the supervision of the Primary or Secondary Supervisor Organize and setup materials for sale in an orderly and appealing manner using warehouse material handling equipment as needed Straighten and clean displays, restocking out of place items Maintain a clean and orderly work area Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed Load and unload vehicles receiving or delivering materials to/from the ReStore When requested, assist the driver when picking up material at donor sites

Qualifications

Display excellent customer service skills to donors, shoppers and volunteers both in person and on the telephone Must be flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to advocate the mission of Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity Must adhere to safety regulations on the ReStore premises Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. with assistance Must be comfortable with the use and operation of warehouse material handling equipment such as a hand truck or dolly Demonstrated history of being a self-starter

Proper training of the cash register, customer service, troubleshooting and light paperwork will be provided.

General Summary: The positions's primary responsibility is to greet customers that visit or call the ReStore, answer questions and provide information about the ReStore and about the Habitat affiliate, scheduling donor pickups and communicating pickup schedule with drivers. Position is also responsible for assisting other volunteers and staff as needed.

Escort customers to specific items when appropriate and explain the purchase options

 

Operate the cash register and serve as the cashier for sales transactions

 

Handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions

 

Adhere to and enforce shopper, donor and volunteer policies for held or purchased items

 

Explain to shoppers, donors, and volunteers ReStore regulations when needed with excellent customer service

The News:

The Jacksonville Habitat ReStore is growing with more donations and we need your help! Two to three days a week the ReStore Truck Drivers travel around Onslow county to receive donations from donor households, businesses, organizations and more. 

 

The Challenge:

Loading & Unloading the ReStore Truck. As items are being received from donors, the Truck Drivers are in need of strong helping hands. 

 

What are the Requirements?:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more Possess critical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills Must provide exceptional customer service skills Professional moving experience is a plus ReStore Volunteer Orientation & Training

 

ReStore Truck Shifts for volunteers:

Tuesday: Morning Shift (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM), Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM) Wednesday: Morning Shift (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM), Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM) Saturday: Morning Shift (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM), Afternoon Shift (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

 

Items that are loaded/unloaded on the ReStore Truck:

Appliances (Washing Machines, Dryers, Refrigerators, Stoves, Microwaves, etc.) Building Supplies (Interior/Exterior Doors, Windows, Kitchen/Bathroom Cabinets, Flooring, etc.) Home Accessories & Home Decor (Wall Art, Glassware, Lamps, Accent Rugs, Kitchenware, Small Appliances, Throw Pillows, etc.) Furniture (Sofas/Love seats, Recliners, Kitchen Tables w/chairs, Children's Furniture, Antique Items, Children's Furniture, Outdoor Furniture, etc.)
