Volunteer: Volunteer Gift Shop ManagerLooking for an enthusiastic person or persons to be the overall manager of our Gift Shop at Onslow Memorial Hospital. This person oversees the management of the shop. assists with sales, assists with purchasing and paying the bills. The Gift Shop is totally managed and operated with a volunteer staff who are interested in helping people in many ways. The shop is divided by responsibility to several different volunteers but we are looking for one main point of contact. Sales provide resources to fund modern up to date equipment for Onslow Memorial. Hours are flexible. Rewards are great as hospital staff, patients and visitors are appreciative of the service that the shop provides. A good opportunity for someone to gain management, leadership and sales experience. Volunteer: Hospital VolunTeen Program CoordinatorLooking for one or more energetic adults over 21 who like working with teen volunteers in a hospital setting. Requires counseling, mentoring, making assignments, and monitoring progress and time and attendance for 50 - 80 teenagers who serve as volunteers at Onlsow Memorial Hospital during the summer for scholastic credit. Must be flexible, abie to work with youth and adults; have good people skills and want to lead young people. Computer skills desirable but not mandatory. Will be required to pass a TB test and background check as well as a day of hospital ethics, culture training-at hospital expense.
