Do you love to teach and are comfortable with public speaking? Are you fueled by the desire to raise awareness and understanding of Alzheimer's and related dementia diseases to make a difference in our military and veteran communities? Do you need flexible daytime, weekday, evening and/or volunteer opportunities?
Then you are an Alzheimer's Association Community Educator!
Alzheimer's Association Community Educators are representatives of the Alzheimer's Association who cultivate opportunities in professional, civic and personal spaces to raise awareness and deliver 30-60 minute educational programs like "Know the 10 Signs, "Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia," and "Navigating a Dementia Diagnosis."
This volunteer has connections to our local military and veteran community and can help find, ask and schedule programs geared toward these audiences both on base and in the community.
