August 18th from 11am-2pm Onslow Literacy Council will be participating in the Defeat Poverty 2023 Event. This is a free community event for resources and networking held at 237 New River Dr. in Jacksonville, NC. We are looking for volunteers to help spread the word about the OLC mission to improve adult literacy in Onslow County. During the event we will be handing out free books for adults and children as well as OLC informational pamphlets.

Dress Code: Casual but please try wearing yellow which stands for happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, and joy.
