Needs From: Volunteer Onslow

Philippians Place Thrift Store needs volunteers to do furniture pickups and deliveries on Saturday mornings.  We have people who donate items to us but do not have a way to deliver it, so we schedule pickups on Saturday mornings for those who work during the week.  Those who purchase furniture from our store can pay for delivery and we schedule those for Saturday mornings as well.  We have a truck and a trailer, furniture blankets, dollies, furniture rollers, straps, gloves, and any other necessity for furniture pickups, deliveries, and other projects.  We are looking for people who can volunteer Saturday mornings for 1-3 hours depending on pickup and delivery needs. Volunteers can sign up for specific Saturdays at Philippians Place in order to schedule once or twice a month.   

We have donors who are only available during the week or need items picked up quickly during the weekdays. We are looking for strong individuals who are willing to donate time during set hours during the weekdays so we can schedule pickups/deliveries. We have the necessary, trucks, trailer, dollies, furniture blankets, etc. to aid in these pickups/deliveries. If we know we have help on certain days and times, we then know we can schedule with donors. We will gladly provide LOAs for those wanting volunteer hours documented.
