Need: two volunteers

Individuals will make contact and correspond with clients who are incarcerated; building a rapport with them in a safe manner.

Tri Counties Crusaders, Inc. Reentry Program: is seeking dedicated community driven Board Members to service and help with Reentry program for two year terms.

Determine mission and purpose. It is the board's responsibility to create and review a statement of mission and purpose that articulates the organization's goals, means, and primary constituents served.

Support and evaluate the chief executive. The board should ensure that the chief executive has the moral and professional support he or she needs to further the goals of the organization.

Ensure effective planning. Boards must actively participate in an overall planning process and assist in implementing and monitoring the plan's goals.

Monitor and strengthen programs and services. The board's responsibility is to determine which programs are consistent with the organization's mission and monitor their effectiveness.

Ensure adequate financial resources. One of the board's foremost responsibilities is to secure adequate resources for the organization to fulfill its mission.

Protect assets and provide proper financial oversight. The board must assist in developing the annual budget and ensuring that proper financial controls are in place.

Build a competent board. All boards have a responsibility to articulate prerequisites for candidates, orient new members, and periodically and comprehensively evaluate their own performance.

Ensure legal and ethical integrity. The board is ultimately responsible for adherence to legal standards and ethical norms.

Enhance the organization's public standing. The board should clearly articulate the organization's mission, accomplishments, and goals to the public and garner support from the community.

We have started our SOAR Community Outreach program here at TCC working with individuals who are homeless/at-risk of homelessness and with a qualifying disability. 

SOAR is a federal program with DHHS and SAMHSA, and is managed in North Carolina by the NC Coalition to End Homelessness. The goal of the SOAR program is to advocate for the individual by coordinating all of the medical records for the client and learning the client's history and how their disability limits their functionality. The Case Manager then composes a detailed Medical Summary Report that tells the SSA/DDS about the client and their history and provides the Examiner with the information they need to determine the clients eligibility.

SOAR Case Managers must be trained through NCCEH and can later become Certified.

We are currently looking for a Marketing Person to join our team to help out with marketing our organization out in the community.

This position will require strong experience and knowledge with most Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and have great interpersonal communication skills. Prior administrative and clerical experience is preferred, but we are happy to help teach these skills.

Some other duties for this position might require you to run business errands, attend community meetings, collect and run reports, handle phone calls, and reply to correspondence in a timely manner.

A part of TCC's mission is to attend local events related to what we advocate for and do. Another part of this position would be to scout for future local events and brief TCC case managers and leadership on those upcoming events.

As the needs that TCC helps meet bend and grow, so will the role of the Administrative Assistant. If you have that leadership spirit and like to think outside of the box, we'd love to meet you!

Mentors

Develop a partnership through which the volunteer will share his/her knowledge, skills, information, and perspective to encourage personal and professional growth with an individual.  Motivate mentees to face challenges.  Help mentees overcome difficulties through positive feed-back.  Help mentees set realistic goal.

Volunteer will meet with an individual at least once a week for a minimum of one hour no more than four.  Mentor is required to call individual twice a week.

We are currently seeking a person to plan and help take our event portion of our organization to another level. He/She would be creating fundraisers & promotional materials, planning community events, and assuring that our community is well aware of the events we have going on.

The volunteer will records statistics as game progresses.  Compiles team statistics as well as individual statistics.  They will report statistics to the head coach immediately after the game for announcement of results to the newspaper along with radio and TV sources.  Also sends a report of team and individual statistics to the league, coach’s owner, and team director.

The equipment manger is resonisble for all equipment.  /?They will maintain and repair equipment as well as keep accurate inventory records. Orders new equipment as needed.  The manager is resonsible for the transfer of equipment during away games.  Sets up equipment for practices  and assist with players attendance records and report findings to the assistant coach.

The security persons are responsible for maintaining security on the grounds during game.  Work well with others.  There should be a security person at the gate and concession stand at all times.  In addition to those, there is a need for several security people walking the grounds.  Escort the person with the money to a safe place.
