Needs From: Volunteer Onslow

The Jaded Paws Rescue presents its annual NO MORE COLD PAWS program. Every year, multiple families call us for help with their outdoor pets/strays. While in many cases, education goes a long way, sometimes all that's required is help. Through this program, our goal is to help either bring pets in by donating kennels, or to help owners give their outdoor pets a better option by staying warm and dry, through donated dog houses and straw. A little help can go a long way with this program. 

 

Needs:

Igloo style dog houses (Medium/XL) Insulated dog houses (Medium/XL) Large totes - For use in making cat huts Medium/large Styrofoam coolers - For use in making cat huts. Dry straw Dog crates (All sizes) Blankets - Cleaned, not ripped or torn.

Items can be dropped off at the JPR Pet Food Pantry during business hours: 1009 Onsville Dr. Suite A. Jacksonville NC, Tue/Thur/Sat 12-3, or at Animal House in Jacksonville on Bellfork, during business hours.

The Jaded Paws Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned and abused bully breeds. While our primary focus is to rescue, as a team we understand that we need to be more involved within our community, so a year ago we opened our doors as the local pet food pantry. Through the JPR Pet Food Pantry, we provide FREE pet food to families that are low income, and or financially struggling as a way of keeping them together. Our goal as a rescue, is always pet retention, keeping these pets in their homes, versus ending up on the streets and or in the shelter systems. 

 

Help us keep our shelves full:

Dry dog food (medium to large sized bags.) Any brand. Dry cat food (medium to large sized bags.) Any brand. Wet dog food Wet Cat food Litter (scoopable prefered.) Leashes Collars Food bowls Blankets Dog houses Kennels Straw Toys

**ALL FOOD ITEMS MUST BE UNOPENED.**

 

Where to go:

Drop items off during business hours at the JPR Pet Food Pantry (Tue/Thur/Sat 12-3) Located at 1009 Onsville Dr. Suite A, Jacksonville NC (Giant white building behind the Emerald Oasis Car wash off gumbranch.) Another location, is in the lobby at Animal House on bellfork, during business hours.

The JPR Pet Food Pantry is a community outreach program with the Jaded Paws Rescue. Through our program, we provide FREE pet food/supplies to families that are low income, and or financially struggling. Our goal is to assist families back up on their feet, and to help them maintain the custody of their pets through a difficult time.

 

We are in need of the following supplies:

Heavy duty trash bags Dog food Cat food Litter Leashes Collars Donations/Funds

How can you get involved?

Volunteer positions (Clerical, community outreach, social media, food deliveries and or pick ups, stocking shelves, cleaning the store front.) Donating funds towards the purchase of pet food, and or rent/utilities of the building. On average we spend about $2500 a month to keep the doors open and the shelves full. Donating gas cards for the volunteers to use for deliveries.

Requirements:

Must be consistent and ON TIME. Must have decent communication skills No sexual/and or assault charges on record Must have own mode of transportation Must have a current drivers license, and active insurance.
