Council for the Arts

Working with local artists we offer workshops for adults and children, monthly Gallery Exhibitions, programs & performances, distribute Grassroots Grants to organizations, lending library and sales gallery and administer the Arts in the Schools Program.  In addition to what we already do we are always open to new ideas, new artists, new art forms and new programs.

Our mission is to partner with the community to connect the arts to all socio-economic groups of all ages because the arts are fundamental to our humanity.

The Arts in so many forms inspire us—fostering creativity, goodness, and beauty. The arts help us express our values, build bridges between cultures, and bring us together regardless of ethnicity, religion, or age. When times are tough, art is can help with healing.

Students with an education rich in the arts have  have higher GPA and standardized test scores and lower drop out rates—benefits reaped by students regardless of socio-economic status.  

Believing the Arts to be beneficial in so many ways we are working to provide more visibility to the Arts in our community.
