Philippians Place

Philippians Place is a non-profit organization that believes in being the hands and feet of Jesus by providing an esteem-building Earnings Program for our clients.  Our Earnings Program is tailored to educate, equip, and encourage individuals to prevent and end homelessness in our community.  The Earnings Program assists people in need by providing them the opportunity to learn financial, spiritual, and life skills in classes and Bible studies and to work with a mentor; this class and mentor time builds their Program Earnings.  Participants then utilize their Earnings to purchase furniture and household goods from our Resale Store, every day needs from our Daily Essentials Pantry, or financial assistance that will help them become self- sustaining.

We offer morning classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Thursdays are used to mentor clients and assist clients one-on-one to complete employment, rental, birth certificate, or any other  applications or needs. 

We need volunteers to teach classes and/or Bible Studies, mentor clients, work in the garden, pick up & deliver furniture & household items, and/or work in the store cleaning and organizing.

We provide orientation training as well as specialized trainings for specific roles and/or information. 

We have a Resale Store and Donation Center.  Our Resale Store is open to the public.  Income raised from the sale of items in our store goes directly to supporting our general fund and Earnings Program.  We accept gently used furniture, household items, baby items, decorations, books, and toys.  We do not accept clothes, shoes, or mattresses.  We can schedule pick-ups if necessary.
