Who We Are
The Belgrade Community Action Association (BCAA) has been active in the community since 1970.
PURPOSE: To inspire and empower our community and surrounding areas' health and social conditions through education and training, enabling us to transcend our past and current conditions.
FOCUS: The people of the community who are most susceptible to the affects of low-income: the youth and elderly.
KEY PROGRAMS
Youth Program: Our community building has served as a base of operations for after-school and summer programs. Our goal is to encourage our youth through positive development strategies, leadership skills, sense of community and educational opportunities to build a strong foundation for their future. In partnership with the United Way and Sylvan Learning, we are able to offer the students in our community an after-school tutorial program as one of the elements of our BCAA Learning Academy. For information, you may contact Albert Duncan at 910-381-5934.
Senior's Program: The Belgrade Community Building is an active site for Onslow County Senior Services. The Onslow County Senior Services provide for the needs of the elderly population of Onslow County, keeping them active and involved in the community and preventing premature institutionalization.
