Richlands Vol. EMS/Rescue Squad

Est. in 1972 Richlands Vol. EMS/Rescue Squad Inc. was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to provide Emergency Medical and Technical Rescue Services for the Richlands area, and greater Northwestern Onslow County. At the time the founding members of the squad were average citizens in the community who saw the need for a more quick/local EMS and Rescue provider. We are 100% volunteer and are desperately needing more people to volunteer to help the communities in which we serve.

We operate Emergency Medical and Technical Rescue Services on a volunteer basis for Northwestern Onslow County, Town of Richlands, and various communities.We currently operate at out of a 5 bay station just west of Richlands on Hwy 24/258 (Kinston Hwy), we operate at a state EMS certified Basic Life Support (BLS)(EMT) level and a state rescue Medium Rescue level. We operate a BLS ambulance, a medium rescue truck, a light rescue/first responder, and 2 quick responder vehicles, as well as some Technical Rescue, Rehab, and Wilderness Rescue equipment and trailers.
