General Summary: The primary responsibility of the warehouse floor position is to maintain proper display of inventory on the sales floor, ensure the safety and “shopability” of the main sales and assist with customer and donors with loading/unloading merchandise.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect donations carefully and enforce donation requirements tactfully.
  • Clean incoming materials, following established cleaning procedures and criteria
  • Price incoming materials under the supervision of the Primary or Secondary Supervisor
  • Organize and setup materials for sale in an orderly and appealing manner using warehouse material handling equipment as needed
  • Straighten and clean displays, restocking out of place items
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Greet customers, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed
  • Load and unload vehicles receiving or delivering materials to/from the ReStore
  • When requested, assist the driver when picking up material at donor sites

Qualifications

  • Display excellent customer service skills to donors, shoppers and volunteers both in person and on the telephone
  • Must be flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to advocate the mission of Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity
  • Must adhere to safety regulations on the ReStore premises
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. with assistance
  • Must be comfortable with the use and operation of warehouse material handling equipment such as a hand truck or dolly
  • Demonstrated history of being a self-starter

Schedule

  • 6 month – 1 year commitment

Daily Details

  • Minimum 2 – 3 days per week for 4 hours

Training

  • Formal on-site training is provided
