General Summary: To help the ReStore with overall store maintenance (repair, painting, wood work, electrical, building displays, enhancing store facility etc.), small and large projects, and answer home improvement questions from customers, assist with the ReStore Donation Truck.
Responsibilities
- Greet Incoming customers in a cheerful, professional manner; answer questions, and provide assistance as needed
- Ability to coordinate with Primary and Secondary Supervisor for approval on maintenance and projects as some projects may need higher approval from Executive Management
- Perform general maintenance tasks, repairs etc. as needed for store operation
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- May be asked to help test items for power and/or operation
- Load and unload vehicles receiving or delivering materials to/from the ReStore
- When requested, assist the driver when picking up materials at donor sites
Qualifications
- Display excellent customer service skills to donors, shoppers and volunteers both in person and on the telephone
- Must be people-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to advocate the mission of Crystal Coast Habitat for Humanity
- Must adhere to safety regulations on the ReStore premises
- Must be able to stand or sit for 4 hours at a time
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. with assistance and be comfortable with the use and operation of warehouse material handling equipment such as a hand truck or dolly
- Must possess the ability to: Plan, organize and handle multiple functions simultaneously & communicate clearly and courteously, both verbally and in writing
Schedule
- 6 months – 1 year commitment
Daily Details
- Minimum 2 – 3 days per week for 4 hours
